Avatar Solutions, a market research firm and healthcare surveys provider, has announced the recipients of its 2015 Patient Experience Awards.
The award winners are recognized for leading their peers in the ongoing drive to improve quality and performance in healthcare. All total, more than 80 hospitals, surgery centers and other healthcare providers received some sort of designation from Avatar.
Avatar also named 15 healthcare providers Best Overall Performers for their achievements between January and December 2014. These hospitals were recognized based on having the best overall inpatient, outpatient, emergency department and ambulatory surgery scores from Avatar.
The "Best Overall Performers" are:

3. Community Medical Center (Missoula, Mont.)
4. Froedtert Health-Community Memorial Hospital (Menomonee Falls, Wis.)

6. Maury Regional Medical Center (Columbia, Tenn.)
7. Medical Center of the Rockies (Loveland, Colo.)
8. Mount Desert Island Hospital (Bar Harbor, Maine)
9. North Valley Hospital (Whitefish, Mont.)
10. Northwestern Medical Center (Saint Albans, Vt.)
11. Parkview Medical Center (Pueblo, Colo.)
12. Redington-Fairview General Hospital (Skowhegan, Maine)
13. Sebasticook Valley Health (Pittsfield, Maine)
14. Sullivan (Ind.) County Community Hospital
15. The Aroostook Medical Center (Presque Isle, Maine)
