ASHP Announces Antimicrobial Stewardship Mentored Impact Program Participants

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists has announced the nine hospitals selected for its Antimicrobial Stewardship Mentored Impact program.

Interested hospitals applied to participate in the program. The process included assembling a team of healthcare professionals and a proposed antimicrobial stewardship project plan.

The program aims to develop and equip the hospitals with tools for successful antimicrobial stewardship programs. Hospitals will work with mentors, teams of physician and pharmacist, who will provide inter-professional guidance and assistance throughout the program.

The following are the nine hospitals selected for the program.

•  Froedtert Hospital (Milwaukee)
•  Mary Washington Hospital (Fredericksburg, Va.)
•  Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City (Iowa)
•  Shelby Baptist Medical Center (Alabaster, Ala.)
•  St. Francis Hospital (Federal Way, Wash.)
•  St. Mary Medical Center (Langhorne, Pa.)
•  St. Vincent Medical Center (Los Angeles)
•  Straub Clinic and Hospital (Honolulu)
•  TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital (Houston)
