On Thursday, the Arizona Department of Health Services confirmed an additional case of measles, increasing the outbreak count to 17.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in May, instances of infection have continued to be confirmed and lists of exposure sites have been expanded. Previous reports suggested thousands may have been exposed to the viral infection.
