The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology announced a new program to identify successful strategies most likely to benefit other infection prevention initiatives.
The Heroes Implementation Research Scholar Award program is an extension of the Heroes of Infection Prevention Award program, which recognizes individuals and groups for success in infection prevention. The new program will issue up to two awards of $50,000 each to support research projects that will identify successful strategies shown in the Heroes group and determine potential ways to implement these strategies across the infection prevention community.
The awards will be granted in 2012 and will require projects to be completed by December 2013. The deadline for applications is Sept. 30.
