The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is seeking hospitals to participate in an initiative to improve outcomes for cardiac patients, according to AHA News.
Three things to know:
1. As part of the TAKEheart initiative, AHRQ will train participating hospitals on a strategy to improve cardiac rehabilitation among eligible patients.
2. The organization will also offer individualized coaching, access to a 12-month virtual education program and guidance from cardiac rehabilitation experts.
3. The initiative is slated to start in January. The deadline to apply is Oct. 15. Hospitals will learn whether they were accepted by Nov. 1.
