AHRQ Offers Toolkit That Enhances Medication Safety Through ED Pharmacist

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has updated a resource for healthcare facilities looking to improve medication safety.

The toolkit is designed to enhance medication safety by using pharmacists as a safety measure in emergency departments. The toolkit includes three parts that outline justification for an emergency pharmacist program, the role of the emergency pharmacist and implementation of an emergency pharmacist program.
