The American Hospital Association announced that three programs will receive the 2013 Circle of Life award for providing patient-centered, innovative palliative care.
The awardees include the following:
• Denver Hospice and Optio Health Services (Denver)
• Mount Sinai Medical Center (New York City)
• UnityPoint Health Palliative Care Program (West Des Moines, Iowa)
The following organizations received Citations of Honor:
• Gundersen Health System (La Crosse, Wis.)
• Hospice of Dayton (Ohio)
• Nathan Adelson Hospice (Las Vegas)
• North Shore University Hospital Palliative Care Program (Manhasset, N.Y.)
• Veterans Health Administration (Washington, D.C.)
