The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and Food and Drug Administration have announced the winner of the Reporting Patient Safety Events Challenge, according to a Health IT Buzz report.
The goal of the challenge was to create an application that would simplify and improve the utility and accuracy of internal adverse event reporting. KBCore of Houston won for its application KBCoreSM, which uses web and mobile apps to collect and analyze event reports through multiple functionalities.
