The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care's Institute for Quality Improvement released a new toolkit to help outpatient providers develop and evaluate antibiotic stewardship policies and practices.
"The most important factors contributing to antibiotic resistance is antibiotic misuse, and antibiotic stewardship programs seek to optimize use," said Naomi Kuznets, PhD, vice president and senior director of the AAAHC Institute.
