Four updates:
1. Twenty-three states have reported measles infections, with Pennsylvania confirming its first case of the year last week.
2. Of the 60 new cases confirmed last week, 52 occurred in New York, according to CNBC. The state is facing two large measles outbreaks in Rockland County and New York City.
3. Five other states are also battling measles outbreaks, defined as a cluster of three or more cases: Michigan, New Jersey, California, Georgia and Maryland.
4. The updated case count marks the highest number of infections reported since 1994. It's also the largest case count reported since U.S. health officials declared measles eradicated in 2000.
