500 Quality Measures Under Consideration for Federal Healthcare Programs

The Measures Application Partnership is considering approximately 500 quality measures to recommend to HHS for inclusion in federal healthcare payment and reporting programs, according to an AHA News Now report.

MAP, a public-private partnership convened by the National Quality Forum, will issue a draft report on the recommendations for public comment Jan. 14 to 28.

Nearly 100 measures under consideration affect hospitals. The American Hospital Association is encouraging members to provide feedback on relevant measures as early as Dec. 11.
