Nearly 40 Adventist Health System hospitals across several states have chosen to participate in the CMS' Partnership for Patients program with Premier, a nationwide healthcare performance improvement alliance.
The Partnership for Patients program allows healthcare providers to test and share best practices for reducing patient harm. Specifically, the program established several key targets, including reducing preventable readmissions by 20 percent and preventable hospital-acquired conditions by 40 percent by the end of 2013.
The nearly 40 Adventist Health System hospitals have also joined Premier's QUEST: High Performing Hospitals collaborative, under which participating hospitals work together to make data-driven, evidence-based decisions to improve healthcare delivery.
