A healthcare executive, a physician and a business leader joined the National Quality Forum's board of directors in November.
The new board members are:
- Jonathan Perlin, MD, PhD, president of clinical services and CMO of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare
- Jack Resneck, MD, professor and vice chair of dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco
- Cristie Upshaw Travis, CEO of the Memphis Business Group on Health
"The National Quality Forum addresses an important need in our nation," said Helen Darling, NQF's interim president and CEO. "Our goal is to lead national collaboration to improve health and healthcare through measurement and quality initiatives. In upholding NQF's mission, our board provides us with invaluable strategic direction, and we are extremely grateful for their leadership, commitment and services to NQF."
