A strain of E. Coli bacteria has sickened 11 people in Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz.. Two children have died from the outbreak, which started in early July, according to a report from 12News.
The CDC is now aiding local and state health officials to investigate the outbreak, according to Jennie Bowen, a spokesperson with the Mohave County Health Department in Arizona.
"At this point, we still do not know what the source of the contamination is," Ms. Bowen told 12News. "We've told residents in the area to not eat any beef while we try to find out if the beef some of the victims ate was contaminated. We don't have test results back yet. We tested the drinking water and it is safe."
