Blue Cross Blue Shield Association announced a new national, evidence-based maternity care designation program this week and already, more than 650 hospitals have been named as Blue Distinction Centers+ for Maternity Care.
To receive a Blue Distinction Centers+ for Maternity Care designation, a hospital must deliver specialty care that is high-quality, safe and effective, based on measures developed by medical experts, while also meeting requirements for cost efficiency.
