The CDC is cutting funding for child vaccination programs by 10 percent or more per state, KFF Health News reported July 5.
The reduction comes from a federal immunization grant that totals about $680 million in the latest year. Some jurisdictions are reporting a 10 percent or more cut of their previous year's reward.
Officials linked the reduction to the debt ceiling deal recently passed in Congress. The cut may result in less complete reporting on vaccination, the CDC said.
