Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health is seeking to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Howard, Wis., Fox 11 News reported Dec. 15.
The for-profit hospital operator recently submitted a site plan to city officials, who are scheduled to discuss the project Dec. 18.
If approved, Lifepoint would start construction in the third quarter of 2024 and aim to open the hospital by the end of 2025. The overall project is anticipated to cost $48 million, with $35 million allocated to cover construction expenses.
The hospital would employ 120 total workers, and patients would stay at the facility for an average of 14 days.
