One pharmacy benefit manager makes up one-third of the market, according to a May 23 report from Drug Channels.
The leading PBM by market share is CVS Health's Caremark, the report found; it analyzed equivalent claims managed in 2022. Six PBMs accounted for 96 percent of the market share, and the top three made up 79 percent.
