Fresno, Calif.-based Veterans Affairs Medical Center evacuated 40 people Aug. 20 after a suspicious package was found outside one of its buildings, according to The Fresno Bee.
A bomb squad was deployed to investigate the package sitting outside its mental health counseling and administration building.
After taking an X-ray of the package, police determined there was not a threat and the package was a hoax.
Hospital operations have retuned to normal.
