Houston-based James P. Allison Institute at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center established an 11-person scientific advisory board Aug. 15 to provide strategic guidance and evaluation to its research portfolio and programs.
The advisory board is co-chaired by Robert Schreiber, PhD, the Andrew M. and Jane M. Bursky Distinguished Professor of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis; and Elaine Mardis, PhD, co-executive director of the Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital and professor of pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, both in Columbus.
The news release named Mark Dawson, MD, PhD; Philip Greenberg, MD; Marcia Haigis, PhD; Elaine Mardis, PhD; Diane Mathis, PhD; Miriam Merad, MD, PhD; Kunle Odunsi, MD, PhD; Robert Schreiber, PhD; Phillip Sharp, PhD; Karen Vousden, PhD; and Catherine J. Wu, MD, as advisory board members.
