Mayo opens LGBTQ+ breast cancer center

Mayo Clinic-Rochester (Minn.) opened Rainbows Breast Cancer Clinic, a clinic for LGBTQ+ breast cancer patients, the Post Bulletin reported July 27.

The clinic opened to patients in June and is for people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer — though being part of the LGBTQ community is not a requirement for receiving care at the clinic.

The clinic has a team of oncologists, a nurse practitioner, a social worker and nurse.
