Portland, Maine-based Northern Light Mercy Hospital is partnering with Boston-based Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
The collaboration will "help disseminate the latest and most effective, evidence-based best practices and standards to member hospitals and physician practices," according to a Nov. 16 news release from Northern Light.
Northern Light Mercy Hospital worked for two years to increase medical staff abilities, pharmacy capabilities and follow-up appointment outcomes to meet requirements for the partnership, according to a report from NBC affiliate WCSH.
