Rush University Medical Center in Chicago Plans $46M Renovation

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is planning a $46 million renovation project in an effort to remain competitive in the area, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.

The project includes moving obstetric and pediatric beds to different buildings and consolidating 10 endoscopy examination rooms in one location. The renovation will also reduce the overall number of obstetric beds, pediatric beds and private rooms.

Features such as flat-screen televisions in patient rooms, carpeted common areas and private rooms for visitors are targeted to recruit physicians and patients.

Rush also recently completed a $654 million medical tower.
