Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky., and Mercy Health, which acquired the hospital in 2009, are planning investments and projects that may total in the "tens of millions," according to a Middletown Journal report.
Part of those plans call for a multi-million dollar expansion, upgrades and renovations to Jewish Hospital. Those investments could affect the hospital's ICU, bone marrow and transplant center, emergency department and the orthopedic and cardiology, neuroscience departments. Details on the expansion plan still need to be ironed out and may not be complete until the early part of 2012.
Jewish Hospital is also planning several other projects, including a possible facility for complex brain and spine conditions.
