Becton Dickinson & Co. will pay $22 million to settle four antitrust lawsuits instigated by hospitals and other buyers, according to a report in The Record.
The suits all alleged monopolistic practices on the part of BD, including offering product discounts linked to purchasing agreements and giving warrants for company stock to group purchasing organizations, according to the report.
In exchange for the settlement payment, BD will not face further claims in the four cases, according to the report.
