The West Virginia Health Care Authority has approved a certificate of need that will allow Fairmont, W.Va.-based West Virginia United Health System to acquire St. Joseph's Hospital and affiliate with Camden-Clark Hospital, both in Parkersburg, W.Va., according to a Charleston Daily Mail report.
Both hospitals will operate as subsidiaries of the health system, according to the report.
The deal was announced in September and is expected to be completed by April 1.
