Houston-based Memorial Hermann has added two microhospitals to its network through a joint venture with The Woodlands, Texas-based Emerus.
The parties announced the agreement in May. With the transaction completed, Emerus' facilities in Tomball and Sugar Land, Texas, are now operating under the Memorial Hermann name.
"By partnering with such a trusted health system, our patients know they will receive premier medical care from affiliated doctors and staff who are all held to Memorial Hermann's high standards," said Craig Goguen, CEO of Emerus.
Under the terms of the transaction, the joint venture may open additional healthcare facilities in the future.
