Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care plans to reopen a number of shuttered clinics that were once affiliated with the now-closed Cheboygan (Mich.) Memorial Hospital, according to a Cheboygan News report.
Cheboygan Memorial closed last week after a long-awaited proposed sale to McLaren fell through. A bankruptcy court approved the sale, but the sale failed to move forward due to complications with recertification and licensure by CMS.
McLaren now plans to reopen the hospital's affiliated clinics as early as today and has hired 55 physicians, physician extenders and support staff to work at the clinics.
