Camden, S.C-based KershawHealth, Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare and Charleston, S.C-based MUSC Health have signed a definitive agreement finalizing a partnership.
Effective Nov. 1, KershawHealth becomes part of the Capella-MUSC Health Network as well as the Capella Healthcare family of hospitals.
Capella Healthcare, which owns acute care and specialty hospitals in five states, established an affiliation last year with MUSC, the oldest medical school in the south. Hartsville, S.C-based Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center was the first provider to join the network.
Terry Gunn will remain KershawHealth CEO. Other current leadership will also remain in place.
