Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear wants to meet with the hospital participants involved in the proposed three-system merger he rejected last week, according to a Courier-Journal report.
A date and agenda for the meeting has not yet been set. Gov. Beshear rejected plans to merge University Hospital in Louisville, Jewish & St. Mary's in Louisville and St. Joseph Health System in Lexington last Friday.
Hospital officials have said they plan to continue working together to design a deal Gov. Beshear will be "compelled to approve," according to the report.
