2. KershawHealth signs agreement with Capella Healthcare, MUSC Health
Camden, S.C-based KershawHealth, Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare and Charleston, S.C-based MUSC Health signed a definitive agreement finalizing a partnership.
3. Munson Healthcare to expand Michigan network
Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare approved an agreement to add Charlevoix (Mich.) Area Hospital as the fifth hospital in its network.
4. Kaiser Permanente selected to operate Maui hospitals
The board of Hawaii Health Systems Corp.'s Maui Region chose to enter negotiations with Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente to manage the three state-owned hospitals in Maui County.
5. UHS acquiring Foundations Recovery Network for $350M: 4 things to know
King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services reached a definitive agreement and received federal approval to purchase Foundations Recovery Network, a Brentwood, Tenn.-based provider of integrated treatment for addiction and mental health, for approximately $350 million.

Savannah, Ga.-based Memorial Health agreed to enter into strategic partnership discussions with Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health.
8. Prime signs definitive agreement to purchase Lehigh Regional Medical Center
Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services signed a definitive agreement to purchase 88-bed Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, Fla., from subsidiaries of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
9. Beth Israel, Lahey call off merger talks again
Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health reached an impasse in their attempt to join forces for the third time in the past four years.
10. Trinity Health to expand network in Connecticut
Saint Mary's Health System in Waterbury, Conn., signed an agreement to join Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health's network.
11. Tuomey Healthcare, Palmetto Health move one step closer to merging
The governing board of Columbia, S.C.-based Palmetto Health voted unanimously to move forward with plans to finalize a merger with Sumter, S.C.-based Tuomey Healthcare System.
12. Tennova Healthcare adds 4 Tennessee hospitals: 3 things to know
Knoxville, Tenn.-based Tennova Healthcare added four more hospitals to its network.
13. Piedmont Healthcare, Newton Medical Center partnership gets go-ahead from attorney general
Georgia's Office of the Attorney General ruled in favor of the partnership between Covington, Ga.-based Newton Medical Center and Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare.

Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System and Johnson City, Tenn.-based Mountain State Health Alliance are one step closer to merging.

Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health acquired home care agencies, expanding its service area to include 39 Kentucky counties and six counties in Southern Illinois.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, St. Louis-based Ascension and San Francisco-based Dignity Health finalized a joint venture to own and operate Carondelet Health Network based in Tucson, Ariz.
19. University Hospitals to assume sole ownership of St. John Medical Center
University Hospitals and Sisters of Charity Health System, both based in Cleveland, signed an agreement to transfer sole ownership of St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio, to UH.
20. Prime Healthcare completes purchase of Trinity Health hospital
Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services completed its purchase of St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron (Mich.) from Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.
21. South Carolina hospital on verge of closure secures new owner
Union, S.C.-based Wallace Thomson Hospital is now Union Medical Center and is part of Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Healthcare System.
