1. California hospital may reopen within 4 months under Adventist Health
Tulare (Calif.) Regional Medical Center may reopen within four months under a proposal submitted by Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, which the hospital's board approved June 27.
2. HCA looks to sell Louisiana hospital
Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare entered into a nonbinding letter of intent to sell Lafayette, La.-based Women's & Children's Hospital to Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, the Lafayette-based hospital announced June 28.
3. Sanford Health eyes expansion into Chicago market
Five years after Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health failed to acquire Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services, the 45-hospital system is looking to expand outside of state lines for the second time and eyeing potential opportunities in Chicago.
4. UPMC to expand international footprint, aid in development of cancer center in Beijing
Pittsburgh-based UPMC inked a five-year agreement to assist in the planning and operating of an expanded cancer center at a private hospital in Beijing, the health system announced June 27.
5. U of Mississippi Medical Center affiliates with 96-bed rural Mississippi hospital
Oktibbeha County Hospital Regional Medical Center in Starkville, Miss., announced its intent to affiliate with the Jackson-based University of Mississippi Medical Center June 26.
6. Bankrupt Miami hospital fetches $30M bid
The Miami Medical Center filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March, and the 67-bed hospital was recently sold in auction.
7. CHS to sell 291-bed Oklahoma hospital
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems inked a definitive agreement June 26 to sell Oklahoma City-based AllianceHealth Deaconess to a subsidiary of Integris Health.
8. Walgreens, Humana partner for Medicare primary care clinics
Walgreens is teaming up with Humana to open primary care clinics for Medicare beneficiaries in two Walgreens stores in Kansas City, Mo., the companies said June 19.

Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System revealed plans to acquire Beaver Dam (Wis.) Community Hospitals, Marshfield Clinic announced June 12.
11. Vanderbilt children's hospital to manage NICU at 2 Erlanger hospitals
Nashville, Tenn.-based Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt entered into a management services agreement to operate neonatal intensive care unit services at two Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System hospitals, Erlanger announced June 11.

Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine and Crystal Lake, Ill.-based Centegra Health System signed a definitive agreement to merge, Northwestern announced June 12.

Medpricer, the leading purchased services cost management solution for the healthcare industry, announced a new partnership with Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth on June 11.

After committing millions of dollars toward the creation of a healthcare alliance, Iowa City-based University of Iowa Health Care informed its board of regents June 6 it needs $7.5 million "to meet cash flow requirements to facilitate discontinuance."

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources will no longer manage Calais (Maine) Regional Hospital.
20. Venture fund buys DaVita's primary care business for $100M
Venture firm New Enterprise Associates acquired DaVita's Paladina Health — the company's primary care business that operates 53 clinics across 10 states — for about $100 million.
21. Virtua Health to purchase 2-hospital New Jersey system
Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua Health signed a definitive agreement to acquire Lourdes Health System from Carbondale, Pa.-based Maxis Health, a subsidiary of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, the organizations announced June 5.
