Two-hundred twenty-two-bed Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C. has approved an affiliation agreement with Chapel Hill-based UNC Health Care System, according to a system news release.
Under the agreement, UNC Health Care will manage all operations. In return, Pardee will pay the system $180,000 each year and the salary of Pardee's new CEO James Kirby II, who will report to both the Pardee Hospital board and UNC Health Care, according to a Triangle Business Journal report.
The affiliation is designed to achieve cost savings and increase available services.
