The Phoenix metropolitan area has recently been a hotspot for hospital expansion and development, but Chandler (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center's history in the area traces back more than 50 years.
Here are 10 things to know about Chandler Regional Medical Center.
1. Tim Bricker is the president and CEO of Chandler Regional Medical Center. He doubles as president and CEO of Mercy (Ariz.) Gilbert Medical Center, also part of San Francisco-based Dignity Health.
2. Mark Kem serves as vice president and CFO of Dignity Health's East Valley market in Arizona, which encompasses Chandler Regional Medical Center.
3. Chandler Regional Medical Center has 243 beds and includes several unique services to the area, including a full-service heart and vascular center and a neonatal intensive care unit. Currently, expansion is under way to add a new five-story inpatient tower, which would boost CRMC's bed total to more than 300.
4. The hospital has roughly 2,000 employees and more than 800 staff physicians across all major specialties. Roughly 410 volunteers also donate their time at Chandler Regional Medical Center
5. According to the American Hospital Directory, Chandler Regional Medical Center recorded $1.48 billion in total revenue last year. Net income topped $25.3 million for a 1.7 percent profit margin.
