The 25-bed critical access Morrow County Hospital based in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, is moving two primary care practices under one roof in partnership with John Sweeney, MD, according to the Morrow County Sentinel.
"By locating both these practices under one roof, we are able to increase visibility and access to care, pursue Rural Health Clinic designation and share resources," CJ Miller, president and CEO of Morrow County Hospital, told the Morrow County Sentinel. "Additionally, the move gives us a newer and larger, more efficient facility that we hope will translate into a better experience for our patients."
The hospital also plans to relocate its pregnancy and parenting resource center and its addiction recovery center, according to the report.
