Wichita, Kan.-based Via Christi Health System has collaborated with insurer Coventry Health Care to form a new Medicare Advantage program for local residents, according to the Via Christi website.
The program is called Coventry Advantra Total Care and is set to launch in 2012. The offices of Via Christi primary care physicians will serve as medical homes for Medicare patients with chronic health issues. The program has no co-pays for visits to primary care physicians and lower out-of-pocket costs for patients.
Patients residing in Kansas' Sedgwick County can enroll through Dec. 7.
