Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Envision Healthcare finalized its acquisition of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Emergency Physicians Medical Group, a 500-provider group that staffs 37 facilities across six states.
The group's annual revenue — estimated at $140 million — will be immediately accretive to Envision's earnings, and the anticipated incremental earnings contribution will be added to Envision's 2016 guidance.
EPMG clinicians work in emergency and hospital medicine departments and urgent care centers across Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Delaware. The group also offers community paramedicine programs and telemedicine services.
Envision bought EPMG as part of its strategy to build centers of healthcare excellence in specific geographic locations, Envision's President, CEO and Chariman William Sanger said in a March statement.
