Nick Johnson has resigned from the Weston County (Wyo.) Hospital District's board, which oversees the management and operations of the hospital in Newcastle, Wyo., and other healthcare services provided in the area.
Board Chair Ann Slagle told Becker's the board accepted Mr. Johnson's resignation on Sept. 19.
"I really am going to miss him," Ms. Slagle said of Mr. Johnson. "He's a wonderful human being and a steadying force on the board. I've enjoyed getting to know him the last two years."
Mr. Johnson joined the board of the Weston County Hospital District in 2022. His term was initially set to end in May 2026, but he stepped down, effective Sept. 8, citing his other time commitments.
"Unfortunately, due to the increasing demands of my master's program and work commitments, I can no longer fully dedicate the time and energy required for this role," his resignation letter states, according to the News Letter Journal. "It would be a disservice to those who elected me and to my colleagues on the board if I continued without being able to provide the total commitment necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position."
Ms. Slagle said the board is seeking a new member to replace Mr. Johnson, who also served as board secretary. According to the News Letter Journal, the board has selected trustee Mary Rankin as the new secretary.
