The Texas Hospital Association has picked its board for 2016.
Here are four things to know about the THA's 2016 board.
1. John M. Henderson, CEO of Childress (Texas) Regional Medical Center, is chairman. Jeffrey L. Canose, MD, senior executive vice president and COO of Texas Health Resources in Arlington, is chairman-elect. David Huffstutler, president and CEO of St. David's HealthCare in Austin, is immediate past chairman.
2. New or reappointed trustees elected to serve two- or three-year terms include:
- Erol Akdamar, Hospital Corporation of America - North Texas Division (Irving)
- William Blanchard, DeTar Healthcare System (Victoria)
- Donna Boatright, RN, Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (Sweetwater)
- Marc L. Boom, MD, Houston Methodist
- Michael Covert, CHI St. Luke's Health (Houston)
- Cole Edmonson, DNP, RN, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas
- John B. McWhorter III, Baylor Scott & White Health - North Texas (Dallas)
- Carlyle Walton, Metroplex Adventist Hospital (Killeen)
3. New members and officers officially began their terms at the beginning of January.
