Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger is spotlighting one female leader a day in March in honor of Women's History Month.
The effort aims to celebrate female employees who demonstrate the same strength, leadership and compassion as the health system's founder, Abigail Geisinger.
Geisinger kicked off the initiative March 1 by honoring Lynn Miller, the system's executive vice president of clinical operations.
Since then, recognized employees have come from a broad range of roles, including phlebotomists, nurse navigators, researchers and operations directors.
