Michael Covert, CEO of Houston-based CHI St. Luke's Health, has been appointed to the board of the Texas Hospital Association, effective Jan. 1.
Mr. Covert will serve a two-year term.
"The Texas Hospital Association is at the forefront of influencing healthcare excellence," Mr. Covert said in a statement. "I am honored to be a part of THA and the charge it is leading to support Texas hospitals in delivering accessible, affordable, high-quality healthcare."
The THA leads all Texas hospitals and health systems and is one of the largest healthcare associations in the U.S., representing more than 430 hospitals and health systems.
