Stockton, Calif.-based Dameron Hospital has transitioned from management under Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health to Modesto, Calif.-based American Advanced Management, according to a Dec. 6 news release shared with Becker's.
The new management services agreement with AAM, a physician-led organization operating 14 hospitals across five states, took effect Dec. 2, according to the release.
"Ensuring that Dameron Hospital continues to be a vital healthcare resource to the community remains our top priority," hospital board president Bill Trezza said in the release. "We appreciate all that Adventist Health has accomplished in stabilizing and strengthening our hospital's programs and operations."
Adventist Health, which operates over 440 care sites, including nearly 30 acute-care facilities across multiple states, began managing the 200-bed nonprofit Dameron Hospital in 2020 during a period of financial and operational challenges.
The release stated that a transition period aims to support providers and workers as they adjust to the management change.
