Hospitals across the country added 10,200 jobs in March, up from approximately 4.72 million in February to approximately 4.73 million, according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.
The increase represents a 0.22 percent increase in hospital employment, on a seasonally adjusted basis.
Seasonal adjustment removes the effect of fluctuations due to seasonal events.
From March 2010 to March 2011, hospitals added 53,200 jobs, on a seasonally adjusted basis.
