West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health appointed William Jennings president and CEO of Reading (Pa.) Hospital, effective Oct. 15.
Mr. Jennings most recently served as executive vice president at Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health System and CEO of Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital, part of the Yale system. He was previously president of SSM St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis. He also has held executive roles at numerous healthcare organizations such as BayCare Health System in Clearwater, Fla., and Cookeville (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Jennings holds a master's degree in health administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus.
Mr. Jennings replaces Clint Matthews, who has been serving in a dual role as president and CEO of both Reading Hospital and Tower Health. He will continue to serve as president and CEO of Tower Health once Mr. Jennings assumes his new role.
