Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico Hospital selected Michael Chicarelli, DNP, RN, to serve as COO.
Here are three notes:
1. Dr. Chicarelli was previously administrator of professional and support services at the hospital.
2. He served as interim CEO from October 2017 to July of this year when Kathleen Becker was named CEO.
3. He has worked at UNM Hospital since 1997, initially serving as an emergency department nurse.
