UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., tapped Kimi Kobayashi, MD, to serve as chief quality officer Oct. 28, according to a Worcester Business Journal report.
Dr. Kobayashi most recently served as the associate medical director for the Johns Hopkins Capacity Command Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He previously served as director of inpatient medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He is also an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Kobayashi holds an MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston.
