Tuomey Healthcare System in Sumter, S.C., has named Michelle Logan-Owens acting president and CEO, according to The Manning Times.
Here are four things to know about Dr. Logan-Owens.
1. Dr. Logan-Owens has worked at Tuomey for more than two decades.
2. Dr. Logan-Owens started at Tuomey as a clinical technician in the surgical inpatient unit and later became a registered nurse in the oncology unit.
3. Dr. Logan-Owens most recently served as a vice president at Tuomey.
4. Dr. Logan-Owens earned a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia and a master’s degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She received a doctorate degree in healthcare administration last year from MUSC.
