Stone County Hospital in Wiggins, Miss., has named Joan Strayham, MSN, CEO, according to a Mississippi Business Journal report.
Here are three things to know about Ms. Strayham.
1. Ms. Strayham has held senior management positions at four Mississippi Health Management Associates hospitals including River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, Riley Hospital in Meridian and Biloxi (Miss.) Regional Medical Center.
2. Her healthcare career began in 1980 as a staff nurse at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. Throughout her career, she progressed through a variety of leadership positions including CNO and CEO, according to the report.
3. Ms. Strayham earned a Master of Science in Nursing at Hattiesburg-based University of Southern Mississippi.
