Lisa Brandenburg, president of Seattle Children's Hospital, has resigned, according to a Puget Sound Business Journal report.
Here are five notes:
1. Ms. Brandenburg's resignation is effective at the end of September.
2. She is leaving to join Simpler Consulting, which is part of IBM's health portfolio.
3. She was named president in 2012, but the hospital did not name her to the CEO role when the position fell vacant last year.
4. She joined Seattle Children's as senior vice president and chief administrative officer in 2008.
5. Seattle Children's CEO Jeff Sperring, MD, noted in an email to hospital employees that Ms. Brandenburg's leadership was instrumental in "growing patient volume, improving financial performance and increasing the organization's national profile for clinical care and innovative research," according to the report.
