Saint Mary's Health Network in Reno, Nev., has promoted CFO Alan Smith to COO.
Mr. Smith will serve as COO while keeping his CFO responsibilities, according to a news release.
"Alan has been an integral part of Saint Mary's success and responsible for our financial growth over the last few years as CFO," Richard Bryan Jr., MD, chairman of the board for Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center, said in the news release. "We look forward to working with him in his expanded role to ensure the organization remains strong."
Previously, Mr. Smith was CFO of four Prime Healthcare hospitals in Orange County, Calif. Ontario, Calif.-based Prime is the parent company of St. Mary's.
Mr. Smith also served as regional CFO of all Prime Healthcare's hospitals in California and Nevada.
